They also provide the so-called lightning talks in which you will get selected and then have the opportunity to present to you the project you are working on.

Event hosted at:

University of the Philippines
Diliman Campus
College of Social Welfare and Community Development
Bulwangang Tandang Sora (3rd Floor)
Magsaysay Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City

The topics include :
Shindig, Partuza
Maps API
App Engine
App Engine + OpenSocial + Maps(Integration)
also a Whrilwind Tour to other Google API (not all 66 ofcourse)

There are also talks coming from the partners like :
Exo Platform

The lightning talks were:
CMS using Drupal
OpenSocial App Proposal for Google Android - a guy from NEC
Android QuickLog - Novare Technologies !

They all share a common goal Social Networking on the web, Globe Labs team also presented about their SMS/MMS API for public use.
Google Engineers go crazy making themselves silly that Pamela Fox rapped "Baby Got Back"(her hair was Google colored and she presented without her shoes on) and the DevFest team dance to the theme of Thriller from the youTube prison in Philippines video , anyway they are approachable and cool for they do understand the bad internet connection (SMARTBro / Globe) they say this was the fastest connection -lol.

380 developers from different companies /freelance programmers

Hmm, the response i think is above ok, cause they actually clapped their hands and started to say nice tech and app some of the Google engrs started to say you should try adding more API like OpenSOcial in the app since it is in mobile and in Android which is in Google, the Google DevFest Team liked it because they can recognize me as ("Oh your the one who presented an Android App) and i had to asked them questions of some of the API i used in which something is going wrong and they appreciated that, Jason Costa , their Technical Programs Manager did approached me to my table and told me i did a great job and that the presentation was great to be discussed and clean about the details, upon the end of the fest he then asked me to wait and gave me his calling card to which he also asked me but unfortunately i dont have one , so i said i did wrote my contact to Mr. Rovagnati (Globant/Google, this guy also approached me and asked my calling card, he just grab his own calling card and told me to write it there) maybe you can ask him, so he said ok no problem! :-[

We were two to present the Android the first one is from NEC, he presented about putting OpenSocial in his proposal project for Android but no app available, and then im next to him (actually im next to the Google table and i heard that they wanted to put the 2 Android presentors.

so basically that's what happend, beginner's luck :-D !

PS: it's been a while since the last post, ill talk more about this Great Tech which is Google Android later.... back to coding Android
